Facilities

Children

Children are welcome at Hollowstones and there is a separate play area for children of all ages (6 months upwards) with swings, slides and a little wooden cottage. This area has seating for the adults with views towards Scafell.

We provide high chairs, cots and cot-linen and can arrange baby-sitting.

Linen/laundry

Towels, bed linen and duvets are provided.

Laundry facilities - including washing machines, tumble dryers and irons - are situated in an adjacent building.

Shopping

The village stores/post office is a short walk away, with a wide selection of food, alcohol, newspapers, stationary etc. Orders can be taken in advance, and delivered upon your arrival.

We provide a welcome pack with the basics (tea, coffee, milk) to start your holiday.

More comprehensive shopping facilities, including a butcher and bakery can be found in Gosforth Village, a 15-minute drive away.

For supermarkets (Tesco and Safeway) the harbour town of Whitehaven is 20 miles away.

Gardens

Each cottage has it's own small garden/patio area, as well as the use of a large garden which is a suntrap in the summer. Garden furniture and gas barbeques are provided.

Parking

There is parking space for 5 cars.

Pets

Unfortunately we cannot take pets.
